Gary E. Bowman

Mr. Gary E. Bowman, 62, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 7 am Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his home. 

He was born July 15, 1952 in Galesburg, the son of Leo W. and Ruth Pauline Keith Bowman. 

He is survived by his uncle, Cleo Bowman of Galesburg, several cousin, nieces and nephews and a number of great friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dennis, his sister, Sandy Bowman and his step sister, Judy Pace.

Gary worked for Butler Manufacturing for over 35 years, until their closing in 2005. He currently was working for Ratcliff delivering mail. He graduated from Costa High School in 1971 and received his CDL from Spoon River College. He was of the Catholic faith. Gary was a proud member of the Steel Workers Union. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Per Gary’s wishes cremation will be accorded. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
