Miles Hardy

Miles Hardy, age 20, of rural Galva, Illinois died at 1:50 A.M. on April 29, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. 
He was born on June 25, 1994 in Monmouth, Illinois the son of Lonnie and Brandy Goodwin Hardy. He attended Geneseo High School until 2013 and graduated from Galva High School in 2014. He attended Black Hawk College East in Kewanee, Illinois.
He was raised by his foster parents, Sue (and the late David) Gibbs.  Surviving is his foster mother; his siblings Austin, Jacob, Amy, Jennifer, Eric, Isaac, Jada, Conner, and Hayley.   Also surviving are his niece and nephews, Adara, Orion and Reznor; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and foster father.
He played on the Galva High School basketball team; was assistant manager for the Black Hawk College East basketball team; was active in the Oaks Community Church with the missions and the youth program REVEAL. He enjoyed playing basketball, video games; pets; and listening to Christian rock music. He was an organ donor. He loved life and being with people.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Oaks Community Church in Dahinda, Illinois, with funeral services following at 5:00 P.M.  Rev. Marty Briney will officiate.  In-lieu of flowers memorials may be made to REVEAL Youth Program or the Missions Fund at the Oak Community Church in Dahinda, Illinois.
