She was born on April 14, 1915 the daughter of Joseph and Bertha Gertrude Wooter Hall. She married Glenn O. Burge on May 29, 2043 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1965.Surviving are two sons: Glenn (Mimi) Burge of Knoxville, Illinois and Dallas Burge of Knoxville, Illinois; grandchildren: Otis (Monique) Burge of Northern Ireland, Nicholas Burge of Bloomington, Illinois, Chad (Jennifer) Anderson of Elmwood, Illinois, Joshua (Michelle) Burge of Delong, Illinois, Lucas Burge of Knoxville, Illinois, Jacob (Hillary) Burge of Knoxville, Illinois; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Otis Orval Burge in June of 1976, three sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews.
She taught for 50 plus years at numerous schools throughout Illinois. She spent her life teaching and caring for others.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on July 20 2015 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Pastor Don Miller will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place in the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois.
