She was born on June 14, 1925 in St. Augustine, Illinois the daughter of Leo H. and Rosezella Clark Fitch. She was raised and educated in Abingdon, Illinois graduating from Abingdon High School in 1944. She married Clyde “Babe” C. Alden on November 3, 1945 in Abingdon, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2007.Surviving are two daughters, Sarah Presley of Knoxville, Illinois and Linda (Denny) McKee of Knoxville, Illinois; three grandchildren: Brett McKee, Laura Presley, and Kelly (Travis) Belleville; and one great granddaughter, Harper Belleville. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Robert and Eugene.
She worked for 22 years in the Galesburg School District 205 at Lombard in the Cafeteria. She enjoyed her breakfast Club. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. David Shreeves will officiate. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois.
