Marshall E. Welch

Marshall E. Welch, 67, of Monmouth, IL died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1947 in Macomb, IL, the son of Mabel Welch. He attended Aledo High School in Aledo, IL. 

Marshall worked as a machinist at Farmall in Rock Island for 22 years, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed reading, playing pitch and other card games at the Elks, Danny’s, and the Woodshed.

Marshall is survived by two sons; Tim (Shari Leary) Welch of Little York, IL, Troy (Audra) Welch of Milan, IL, one daughter Honesty (Mike) Howard of Valrico, FL, twelve grandchildren; Amber Welch, Samantha Krider, Samantha Palanco, Sheldon Welch, Amanda Johnson, Jade Howard, Mercedes Howard, Brett Welch, Troy Welch, Jr., Breanna Welch, Michael Howard, Trinity Howard, four great grandchildren; Braycen Majors, Keegan Majors, Hayden Damewood, and Hailynn Krider. Also surviving are three sisters; Kathy (William) Brock of Seaton, IL, Diana (Tim) Tromblee of Aledo, LaDonna Holcomb of Rock Island, IL, one brother Merle Robbins of Gerlaw, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, step father Maynard Tromblee, two brothers; Bobby Robbins, Kyron Robbins, and one sister Roberta Robbins.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, October 2, 2015 where his family will be present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
