She was born February 7, 1924 in Ontario, Illinois, the daughter of Glenn Amos and Retah M. (Voorhees) Wilmot. She married Willard L. Wenzel on April 11, 1942 in Crown Point, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1995.
She is survived by a son, Willard Dale (and Betty) Wenzel of Peoria; three daughters, Kathaleen (and Stanley) Hillier, Karen M. (and Rick Lawsha) Peters, and Donna K. Palmer, all of Galesburg; two step daughters, Patricia Jo Carr and Sharon Lee Erwin; a son-in-law, Dan Peters of Galesburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Yeast of Galesburg and Edith Sells of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and six sisters.
Isabelle attended Galesburg High School. She was co-owner and operator of A and B Body Shop along with her husband. Isabelle was baptized into the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking for her family.
Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev.
