Paul Dee Dunbar, 62, formerly of Galesburg, died at 8:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2015 at his residence in Paducah, KY.
Growing up in Henderson, P.D. loved being outdoors; hunting morels, fishing and riding his Harley. He
carried that throughout his whole life. Working outside as a carman for
B.N.S.F. in Wyoming or moving to Kentucky to work on a golf course. He
enjoyed following the Cubs and Bears but his favorite sport was boxing;
from welterweight to heavyweights he saw a lot of great fighters and
loved talking about the fights at length. His life was
full of friends and family, always willing to help; always ready to make
you laugh with a glance and a smile, a quick one liner, or the
"cricket" he would always brighten your day. He will be missed by
everyone who knew him. P.D. was of the United Methodist Faith.
He
is survived by his brother, Douglas Dunbar of Paducah; two cousins,
Keith Cooper and wife Rose of West Salem, WI, Kent Cooper of Hartville,
WY; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Dale Dunbar and Mary Agnes (White) Dunbar; and one great niece.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 16, 2015 at Henderson United Methodist Church of Henderson, IL. Memorial contributions made to Henderson United Methodist Church, 100 E Washington St, Henderson, IL 61439.
