Daniel D Frye

Daniel D Frye, 79, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 10:10 pm Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his home.

He was born February 15, 1937 in Joy, Ill. the son of Daniel Manhardt and Ruth Mae McKinley Frye. He married Judith Kay Stephens on August 15, 1959 in Alexis, Illinois. She preceded him in death in September 24, 2009.

He is survived by two sons, David (Lynn) Frye of Galesburg and Darrin (Tamra) Frye of Normal, Illinois; one daughter, Debra (Wayne) Duncan of Galesburg, one son in law Robert Kinkade, one brother, Virgil (Joyce) Frye of Galesburg; one sister Joyce Frees of Rock Island, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Diana Kinkade and a sister, Esther Norton two brother in laws Henry Frees and Frank Norton.

He worked for Litton Company in Davenport, Iowa for 40 years as a service engineer, retiring in 1999. He was a member of AARP. Daniel was an active member and board member of the First Church of God. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He loved fishing and bowling on the Monday night church league and the Wednesday afternoon senior league.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday August 31, 2016 at the First Church of God with Rev. Dennis McQuown officiating. Private family committal will be at the Alexis Cemetery Alexis, Illinois.
