Susanna Kamischke

Susie Kamischke, 59, of Galesburg, passed away at Galesburg Cottage Hospital in Galesburg on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 7:15 p.m.

She was the daughter of Heinrich and Lucie (Menger) Kamischke of Gridley. They preceded her in death. Susie is survived by two brothers, Gerhard (Wendy) Kamischke of Washington and Frank Kamischke of Gridley; and three sisters, Helga (Jerome) Baxter of Beavercreek, OH, Gisela (the late Jesse) Forbis of Effingham, and W. Lucie (David) Ross of Saint Charles, MO.

Our many thanks to the staff of Froelich House in Galesburg for their continued support and her care there as a resident. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg for their compassionate care provided during her stay.

Cremation rites have been accorded.Memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.  Private family burial will be in the Gridley Cemetery, Gridley, IL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial donations may be made in Susie’s memory to Community Living Options, inc., FBO Froelich House, 285 S.
