Dorothy V. Anderson

Dorothy V. Anderson, 77, of Galesburg, died at 10:30 P.M. Monday, December 8, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg, IL.

Dorothy was born on March 21, 1937 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Harold O. and Emelia C. Swanson Elliott.  She married Robert D. Anderson on January 3, 1960 at First Lutheran Church in Galesburg, IL. 

Following high school she attended 2 years at Illinois State University.  She worked in medical records for nine years at Americana Nursing Home and twenty three years at Marigold Nursing Home in Galesburg, IL.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galesburg, IL.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Karen S. (Jim) Chewning of Canton, IL and Cindy A. (Karl) Becker of Phoenix, AZ; one grandson, Bradley A. Custard of Canton, IL. 

She was preceded in death her parents. 

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville, IL.   Rev. Dr. Tom Larsen will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.  Interment will follow at Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, IL.
