Patricia L. Morey

Patricia L. Morey age 87 of Bushnell, IL passed away at 4:20 A.M. Saturday March 26, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton, IL.  She was born on September 29, 1928 in Galesburg, IL to Ross and Emma Cowperthwaite Van Syckel.  She married Alva l. Morey in Bushnell, IL on September 17, 1949 and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2004.  Pat is survived by 4 Sons and 2 Daughters – Michael (Mary) Morey of Tucson, AZ, Stephen Morey of Avon, IL, Kenneth (Stephanie) Morey of Bushnell, IL, David (Cindy) Morey of Rockford, IL, Marianne (Kenneth) Smith of Lewistown, IL and Elizabeth Schapals of Round Lake Beach, IL, 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her Parents and 1 Sister (Barbara Mixer).

Pat was a lifelong member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, a member of the Grandmother’s Club, and 4H.  She retired as a secretary for Homer’s Ready Mix & Fertilizer Co.  She and her husband Alva enjoyed dining out, dancing, and time with her family.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 31, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Church in Bushnell, IL with Father Dominic Vitalino officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of services at the Church on Thursday.  Burial will be in the Prairie City Cemetery.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Bushnell, IL.  Please sign the guestbook or leave condolences at www.martinhollisfh.com.
