Mr. Michael E. Kramer, 65, of
Galesburg, Illinois, died 2:14 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 at OSF St. Francis
Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
He was born April 26, 1951 in
Galesburg to Edward J. and Maurita E. Lantz Kramer. He married Kim McMenimen. He later married Janet Crouch.
Surviving is a son, Dustin
(and April) Kramer of Ft. Collins, Colorado, a daughter, Nicci (and Chuck)
Dillon of Victoria, Illinois, a sister, Linda (and Larry) Watson of Galesburg,
eight grandchildren, Ethan Kramer, Eric Kramer, Austin Tanner, Wyatt Dillon,
Alyssa Dillon, Riley Kramer, Emma Kramer and Hailey Sedgwick and many nieces
and nephews. He is preceded in death by
his parents, a son Eric Kramer, a brother John Kramer and a grandson, T.J.
Tanner.
Michael worked for Butler
Manufacturing Company, Galesburg for 30 years in the receiving department and
as a welder. He then worked for
Caterpillar Manufacturing Company in Peoria for five years as a welder and fork
truck driver. He graduated from Costa
High School in 1969. He was a former
member of the Knights of Columbus. He
enjoyed playing cards, fishing and hunting.
He was an avid NASCAR and Chicago Bears fan. He loved spending time with his
grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00
a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Michel Clark will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the
funeral service. Memorials may be made
to the T.J. Tanner Scholarship Fund.
