Bernard L. Brown

Bernard L. Brown, 73, of Kirkwood, IL passed away Wednesday June 29, 2016, 4:40 pm at the Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center Roseville, IL.  He was born Thursday March 18, 1943 in Monmouth, IL the son of Bernice and Amanda (Neal) Brown.  He married Judith Breuer on June 26, 1965.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Judith of Kirkwood, IL; children Robert (Barbi) Brown of Overland Park, KS, Robin Hackethal of Staunton, IL, and Rhonda (Chuck Jr.) Sage of Monmouth, IL; 13 grandchildren Kyle, Luke, Seth, Noah, Hope, Joshua, Ashley, Marissa, Nathaniel, Jerald, Blake, Brianne, and Tanner; 3 great grandchildren; siblings Stanley Logsdon, Ron Brown, Diane Piper, Donna Brown, Gary Brown, Steve Brown, and Shirley Kenney.  He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother (Betty Brown), brother and sister (Bobby and Robin Logsdon).

He worked for Burlington Northern for 31 years.  He enjoyed family time the most.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and hot rod cars and shows.  He was an avid outdoorsman.  He liked playing cards and games.

Funeral service will be Saturday July 2, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at the Wise Family~ Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL.  Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery Kirkwood, IL.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Memorials may be made to the Heart of a Craftsman Kid’s Hot Rod Camp.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamily-hooverhall.com.  Wise Family ~ Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL is in charge of the arrangements
