Frank W. Gould
Mr. Frank W. Gould, 83, of Galesburg, died at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the emergency room of OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
He was born January 12, 1933, in Galesburg, the son of Lyle D. and Jesse B. (Wilk) Gould. He married Evelyn J. Harshbarger on June 17, 1951 in Princeton.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn; a son, Bill (and Tani) Gould of Peoria; a daughter, Jane Huff of Galesburg; four grandchildren, Brad (and Meghan) Gould, Rob (and Lauren) Gould, Jessica (and Ryan) Zehr, and Duane Huff; and three great grandchildren, Makayla, Ryker, and Pennie. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Dick, John, and Jim.
Frank was a sales manager at Sears for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He was a “jack of all trades”, who built six homes in his lifetime for himself and other family members. Frank was a family man who loved and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In his younger years, Frank enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
Cremation will be accorded. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jim Ecklund will officiate. Memorial contributions in Frank’s name may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
