Bernita Fern Aringdale

Bernita Fern Aringdale, 96, of Round Lake Beach, IL formerly of Avon, IL passed away on October 17, 2016 at 10:15 PM at Hillcrest Retirement Village in Round Lake Beach, IL. She was born September 7, 1920 in Kewanee, IL to Ernest and Iola (Thompson) Beaston. She married J.L. Stenson on July 19, 1941 and later married Loyd “Red” Aringdale Jr. on August 21, 1953. He preceded her in death September 4, 2006.
She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne (Jerry) Ewalt of Galesburg, IL and one granddaughter, Kelly (James) DiDonato of Round Lake Beach, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.

She worked for the former Luper Manufacturing of Avon; Blue Bell Manufacturing Co. and Adcock Dry Cleaning both of Abingdon; and Coast to Coast of Bushnell. She was a member of the Avon United Methodist Church. Bernita was a very loving person, she enjoyed baking pies and cakes for her husband, friends and especially local children.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday October 20, 2016  at the Corman Memorial Home in Avon, IL where visitation will be two hours prior to services.
