Leonard L. Worthington

Leonard L. Worthington age 83 of Marietta, IL passed away at 1:40 P.M. Monday November 14, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb, IL.  He was born on July 11, 1933 in New Philadelphia, IL to William and Elizabeth Hutchins Worthington.  He is survived by 2 Sons and 1 Daughter – Laurence L. (Carol) Worthington, and Terry Worthington both of Marietta, IL and Rayleen (Rod) Stuffelbeam of Bushnell, IL, 6 Grandchildren – Chelsea & Travis Mumme, Bryce Worthington, Jeff Thompson, and Jordon Thompson.  He is also survived by 1 Brother and 1 Sister – Leland (Wilma) Worthington of Marietta, IL and Opal (Jim) Heaton of Bushnell, IL.  He was also married to Betty Bonetto Worthington for 55 years.  Leland was preceded in death by his Parents, 4 Sisters and 3 Brothers. 

Leland served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked at a mechanic and later retired from Maytag.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, IL with visitation being held 1 hour prior to the time of services at the Funeral Home.  Burial will in the Mound Township Cemetery in rural New Philadelphia, IL.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Bushnell V.F.W.  Please sign the guestbook or leave condolences at www.martinhollisfh.com.
