Frances
L. Lundeen, 93, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday,
February 9, 2017 in Seminary Manor.
She
was born February 9, 1924, in Atkinson, Illinois, the daughter of
John and Helen (Joos) DeCrane. She married Robert L. Lutes Sr. on
November 15, 1942, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death May 8,
1998. She then married Robert E. Lundeen on June 27, 2002 in Bishop
Hill, Illinois. He preceded her in death March 1, 2007.
She
is survived by two sons, Robert L. Lutes of Calimesa, California and
Roger J. (and Lynn) Lutes of Jasper, Georgia; two granddaughters,
Christy Wilkins and Deidre Abrons; four great grandchildren, Alyssa
and Jasmine Wilkins and Lily and Oscar Abrons; two sisters, Bonnie
Clark of Galva, Illinois and Helen Hawkins of Abingdon, Illinois;
several nieces and nephews; and also special friends, Kay Webber and
Tom and Linda Maleck. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded
in death by her parents; a daughter, Valerie Finnegan; three
brothers, Robert, Frank, and John; and a sister, Betty.
Frances
worked for the Department of Labor and Industry for the State of
Pennsylvania for over 20 years. She was a member of First Lutheran
Church of Galesburg. Frances volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She
was a former member of Soangetaha Country Club.
Cremation
will be accorded. No visitation or service is planned. Memorial
contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children’s
Hospital or Prairieland Animal Welfare Center.
