Ronnie D. Taylor, 61, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:12
p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
He was born on May 10, 1955 in Avon, IL, the son of Everett
and Lucille (Wells) Taylor. Ronnie was raised and educated in Monmouth and
attended Monmouth High School.
Ronnie married Sue Wilson on May 19, 1979 in Cameron, IL,
she survives.
Ronnie worked as a farm hand when he was younger; he later
worked as a custodian at the Warren County YMCA for many years. Ronnie loved to
work on classic cars and was a true car enthusiast. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and collecting
NASCAR memorabilia. Ronnie was an avid
St. Louis Cardinals fan, and loved his beloved Dachshund’s and Cocker
Spaniel. Most of all, he loved spending
time with his family.
Surviving Ronnie is his wife Sue Taylor of Monmouth, one
son, Everett D. Taylor of Monmouth, two daughters; Heather A. Taylor and Katie
L. Taylor, both of Monmouth. Also
surviving are two brothers; Everett “Sonny” (Alice) Taylor of Crossville, TN,
Clifford “Bud” (Beverly) Taylor of Monmouth, one sister, Pat Taylor of Little
York, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and
father-in-law, Wayne and Shirley Wilson, one sister Ruby Inman, and one
brother-in-law Bob Inman.
