Catherine “Kay” A. Vincent, 97,
of Monmouth died at 3:12 am, Wednesday, April 19, 2017at Seminary Manor,
Galesburg, IL.
She was born Jan. 25, 1920 in
Akron, OH, the daughter of John Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Hilbert) Barry. She was raised and educated in Akron,
graduating from St. Vincent’s High School in Akron.
Kay married James Fulmer and
later Allyn Vincent.
She was a Homemaker and nurses
aid. She was a member of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Monmouth.
Kay enjoyed playing Bingo with Monica Vail and crocheting. She was lovingly known as “Grandma Kay” to
many.
Survivors include her daughter,
Cathy (John) Eshleman of Galesburg; son, Tom (Linda) Fulmer of Yuma, AZ; 4
grandchildren, Gary (Kris Stull) Vail of Alexis, IL, Becky (Scott Price) Vail
of Galesburg, IL, April (Matt) Krivohlavy of Japan, Christopher (Katy) Fulmer
of Flagstaff, AZ ; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan Vail, Kayla Stull, Colton
Fulmer, Theodore Krivohlavy; 2 sisters, Jeanette Blind of Norton, OH, Margaret
Adams of Akron, OH; brother, James Barry of CA; nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her
parents, brothers, Tom Barry, Bill Barry and Patrick Barry; sister, Mary
Williams.
A Gathering of Family &
Friends will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at McGuire & Davies
Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. A
Rosary Service will be at 4:30 p.m.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
