Wilbur Perrin

Wilbur Perrin, 101, of Monmouth, IL died at 6:50 am Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Monmouth Nursing Home.

He was born August 7, 1915 in Seaton, IL, the son of Alva J. and Lula (Dodson) Perrin.  Wilbur attended Aledo High School. 

Wilbur farmed most of his life in the Little York area.  He also worked at the Little York Grain Elevator and the Ralston Purina Elevator in Cameron, IL, until retiring in 1980.  Wilbur was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monmouth, and the Little York Odd Fellows Lodge for a number of years.  Wilbur enjoyed woodworking, making yard ornaments, and was very handy.

Survivors include his two nieces, Marilyn Perrin and Barbara Owens both of Monmouth; three nephews, Donald Perrin, Bob Perrin both of Monmouth and Jerry (Sandy) Perrin of Eldridge, IA; several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Perrin and one nephew Raymond Perrin.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Warren County Memorial Park with Rev. Jon Sims officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church, Monmouth.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
