Crystal M. Kelso, 81, of
Galesburg, Illinois died at 8:55 am Monday, July 3, 2017 at her home.
She was born December 21,
1935 in Connersville, Indiana the daughter of Forest and Helen
Dohoney Hutchens. She married Donald L. Kelso on August 24, 1963 in
Galesburg. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2010.
Crystal is survived by her
two sons, Ronald (Carol) Davenport of Swayzee, Indiana and Michael
(Leslie) Kelso of Galesburg; her three daughters, Cynthia (Emil)
Johnson of Abingdon, Illinois, Lynn Young of Galesburg and Teresa
(Cliff Swyningan) Davenport of St. Paul, Minnesota; her two brothers,
William (Carolyn) Hutchens and Richard Hutchens both of Marion,
Indiana; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
two brothers, one sister and her son-in-law, Jess Young.
Crystal was the bookkeeper
for the Good Samaritan Nursing Home for over 40 years. She was raised
in Swayzee, Indiana and had lived in Abingdon before moving to
Galesburg in 1994. She graduated from Swayzee High School in 1954.
Crystal was a member of the East Galesburg Community Chapel. She
enjoyed crocheting.
Funeral services are
scheduled for 6:00 pm Friday, July 7, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West
Galesburg Chapel. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Visitation will
be 4:00-6:00 pm at the chapel. Cremation will follow services.
