Estella Lorraine Skees (Peters) was born on July 2, 1918 in Little York, Illinois and left us to be with the Lord May 23, 2010 in Colville, Washington. She worked as a caregiver in Pomona, California and Monmouth, Illinois. She was avid sewer and loved crocheting. Estella lived her later years in the State of Washington with her son, Lou Peters and his wife. She is survived by two sons; Gene Peters of Illinois and Lou Peters of Washington, two daughters; Patricia Bowesox and Michelle Peters, both of Florida, one sister; Roberta (Thurman) Tapscott of Illinois, seven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands; Myron Sunday Peters and her love, Merlin R. Skees and her youngest son; Gary Peters.
A graveside committal of ashes will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Monmouth Cemetery. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is assisting with local arrangements.
