William A. "Bill" Worley

William A."Bill" Worley, age 74 of Lomax, Illinois, passed away at 4:36 p.m. Monday September 21, 2015 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born December 16, 1940 in Lomax, the son of Albert Levi and Goldie Valentine Hoskins Worley. On June 29, 1961 he married Peggy Maynard. They later divorced. On April 30, 1993, he married Beverly Irene Anders.

Bill was a welder for J.I. Case Company in Burlington, Iowa, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 807, Oquawka Masonic Lodge, and the former Lomax Nazarene Church. He loved welding, hunting, fishing, gardening, tinkering with lawn mowers, and especially, spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Kevin (Evie) Worley of Dallas City, IL, Kelly (Grace) Worley of Lomax, IL, Kendall Worley of Burlington, IA, two step daughters, Sherri (Harley) Jones of LaHarpe, IL, Valerie (Joshua) Huss of Dallas City, IL, sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two brothers, Larry (Leila) Worley of Carman, IL, George Worley of Lomax, IL, one sister, Flora Bloom of Fontanelle, IA, and his special friend, Phillip Butler, with whom he shared his birthday. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Masonic Rites will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday September 25, 2015 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst, followed by visitation with the family from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The graveside service for Mr. Worley will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 26th at Crane Cemetery near Lomax, IL.
