Marilyn J. Evans

 
Marilyn J. Evans, age 72, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at her Oquawka residence at 4:41 am on Wednesday November 18, 2015.  She was born on March 29, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois and is the daughter of Harry W. and Doris M. Nyquist LaDue.  She was raised in Chicago and attended local schools. She attended and graduated from Waller High School in Chicago with the class of 1961.  She married LaMarr W. Evans on December 20, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois and he is surviving her.  Marilyn has been a secretary for many years, for the Fuji Film Company in Chicago, IL and for Fair Department Store for two years, also in Chicago.  Marilyn and LaMarr then returned to Henderson County and she has been teller and cashier at the First State Bank of Biggsville which then became Casey Bank for thirty-three years until her retirement.  Marilyn was extremely friendly and would do something for everyone.  She loved to bake pies and always loved to do for her family, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband, LaMarr of Oquawka, one daughter, Cheryl (Brian) Lindo of Cedar Rapids, IA. and three sons, Cory Evans of Oquawka, IL; Cody (Jenna) Evans of Burlington, IA; Cale (Stephanie) Evans of Oquawka, IL. Eight grandchildren  Jordan and Ali Lindo, Baylan Evans, Ahleah Hook, Emily and Cade Wilkerson, Andy and Isaac Evans. One sister, Laurel (Steve) Centracchio of Tucson, AZ and one brother, Jack (Melinda) LaDue Menifee, CA.  Numerous nieces and nephews are also surviving. Marilyn is preceded in her death by her parents and one son, Craig William Evans. A memorial service is planned by her family on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Biggsville United Methodist Church in Biggsville, Illinois.  Her family plans visitation and to receive their friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am prior to the memorial service. Cremation was accorded. A fellowship luncheon  is then planned at the church following the service.  In lieu of sending flowers a memorial fund is being established for Hospice Compassus or her church, the Biggsvil
