Beulah M. Burgland, 82, of
Kirkwood, IL died at 9:17 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Roseville
Rehabilitation and Care Center, Roseville, IL.
Beulah was born September 22,
1934 in Berwick, IL, the daughter of Orville and Ingeborg (Jensen)
Galusha. She was raised and educated in
the Little York area, graduating from Kirkwood High School in 1952.
Beulah married Jack L. Burgland
in Kirkwood on January 9, 1955 and he died March 26, 2003.
She assisted Jack in their
farming operation. She also worked for
the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier for over 35 years before
retiring in April of 2011.
She was a member of the
Westminster Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood, where she was an Elder and served
communion. Beulah was a member of the
Monmouth American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary.
She loved attending her children’s and later her grandchildren many
school and sporting events. She was a
good neighbor to her many friends.
Survivors include her son, Roger
(Jean Ann) Burgland of Monmouth; daughter, Lisa Moyer of Kirkwood;
grandchildren, Josh (Lindsey) Burgland of Clinton, IA, Trevor Burgland of
Scottsdale, AZ, Melanie (Corey) Cohill of Monmouth and Ali Burgland of
Monmouth; great grandchildren, Riley Burgland, Jace Burgland, Alice Cohill, and
Maddox Cohill. Also surviving is sister
in law, Millie Galusha of Kirkwood; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; 3 brothers, Elwood Galusha, Irvin Galusha and Eugene Galusha.
Funeral services will be at 11:00
a.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and
Crematory, Monmouth. Entombment will be at Warren County Memorial Park,
Monmouth. Visitation will be Friday
morning from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials can be given to Western Illinois
Animal Rescue, Westminster Presbyterian Church or the Monmouth American
