Eugene
Galusha, 85, of Kirkwood, IL passed
away Saturday, November 26, 2016, 8:47 p.m. at the OSF St. Mary Medical
Center Galesburg,
IL. He was born Monday, December 22, 1930, in Berwick, IL the son of
Orville Cecil and Ingeborg (Jensen) Galusha. He married Mildred Ross on
February 24, 1952, in Kirkwood, IL.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife
Mildred; his nieces and nephews Mary Ann (Kenny) Eiserman, Russell (Carol)
Galusha, Cherry (David) Simmons, and Tom (Sandy) Galusha; and 8 grand nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by
his parents, 2 brothers (Irvin, & Elwood Galusha), and also 1 sister (Beulah)
who passed 2 days after Gene.
He was a retired farmer, farming and family
was his whole life. He was a member of
the Westminster United Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood, IL, where he served as
an Elder. He was a former member of the
Maple City Antique Tractor Club. He
loved fishing and hunting. He was an
avid collector of pocket knives, antique tractors and duck decoys.
Memorial service will be Saturday, December 3,
2016, 10:30 a.m. at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood,
IL. Cremation rites have been accorded
burial will be at a later date. Memorials
may be left to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Westminster United Presbyterian
