Beverly J. Brown

Beverly J. Brown, age 83 of Bushnell, IL passed away on Thursday November 24, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.  She was born on November 18, 1933 in Peoria, IL to Eli T. and Hilda I. Shaw Fidler.  She first married Duane E. Wasson on November 21, 1952 and they divorced in 1986.  She later married Donald E. Brown in May of 1993 and he preceded her in death in January of 1998 and Duane Wasson passed away in January of 2013.  Beverly is survived by 1 Son and 2 Daughters – Karen Sue (Randy) Brown of San Tan Valley, AZ, Janice R. Ellis of North Liberty, IA, and Brian D. (Stacey) Wasson of Ft. Byron, IL, 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Brother and 1 Sister – Walter E. Fidler of Georgia and Jean Larke of Norwood, IL.  She was also preceded in death by her Parents and 1 Brother.

Beverly graduated from Farmington High School in 1952.  She was a member of the Farmington Presbyterian Church, was Past Noble Grand Rebekah Lodge of Farmington, and she co-owned Western Auto Store in Farmington from 1965 – 1968.  She also worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL and she was a Secretary and Assistant Cashier at the Bank of Farmington from 1968 – 1987.  She later worked at Barnett Bank in Marietta, GA as a Bank Specialist from 1987-88 and also Peoria County Sheriff’s Dept. from 1989-93.
