Richard Leon Annegers, Sr. Age 60 of rural Stronghurst, IL, passed away
at 10:15 p.m. Thursday November 24, 2016 at OSF Medical Center in
Peoria. He was born July 5, 1956 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of
Raymond R. and Marilon McCollum Annegers. He was married to Patricia
LeDuc.
Leon was a truck driver for several area companies and farmers for many
years. He also farmed near Stronghurst. He enjoyed pool league,
bowling, fishing and boating in his pontoon, and slow pitch softball.
He was a former member of the Burlington Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife and companion of many years, Patricia LeDuc,
his mother, Marilon Stewart of Gladstone, two sons, Richard William
Annegers of Burlington, IA, Richard Leon Annegers, Jr of Gladstone, IL,
one grandson, Avery Wyatt Annegers, one sister, Anne (Maurice) Smith of
Gladstone, IL, one brother, Joe (Linda) Annegers of Gladstone, IL, and
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father,
his stepfather, Leslie Stewart, one sister in infancy, Nancy Lee
Annegers, and one half brother, Mason Stewart.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 3, 2016
at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst, with Rev. Terry Muller
officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Banks & Beals
